I started developing this workshop format in 2020 during my first online courses on improvisation. And by 2024, this has grown into a full-fledged process that aims to create a vulnerable space by reading our habits of controlling spontaneity and desires to "reach and complete" through the language of the movement.
Playing with gravity teaches us to build a dialogue with what we do not know and improvisation is a process of not knowing the next step. We can't improvise with ideas of "how it's going to be." Then we will be in the idea of the future and will always be much earlier than the "now" movement.
The falling leaf process is a pure reflection of our state of body and mind, which opens up an honest field for development and observation of our blocks. Through this practice, we can mentally and physically participate in the surprising improvisational flow without losing interest in creativity, play and connection with other people. The main quality of this process is how playfully, gently and still precise we can accept the challenge, the unknown of spontaneity and the new sensations of adaptation of body and mind in the moment.
